As Kansas City Photographers, Senior Pictures can get really creative. Let’s talk about senior guys for a moment. It’s a fact that most guys don’t want to even do them. That’s ok, honestly over the past 12 years we’ve only had a handful that are actually excited for them. The others are there because mom wants them. Like I said, I totally understand and I’m not even mad about it. But what I am, is determined. I’m determined to make it fun for your senior guy. We want his senior session to be fun, unique to his personality, and memorable.

First things first

As Kansas City Photographers, senior pictures always begin with us getting to know your senior. What does your senior like!? In his spare time, where does he go, what does he like to do?! What is his style? We have every senior fill out a Senior Questionnaire so that we can get to know your senior. We want his session to be unique to him and pull out the things that he enjoys. Let us artistically showcase your senior.

Let’s discuss locations

Once we learn his vibe we’ll be able to narrow down a few locations. From there, we’ll work with you on styling and incorporating a few accessories. This could be his favorite meal or drink, pet, his girlfriend, favorite pair of sunglasses, a book, or a college t-shirt. Again, this is your senior’s session. Once we gather all the information we’ll start putting all the pieces together. This is the fun part where narrow down all the final details. When you look back through your senior’s final school pictures, we want you to see them exactly how they were during this short phase of life. Sadly, it passes by too quickly. We want to preserve this for you as long as possible.

What if my senior struggles having their pictures taken?

Are you worried your senior will feel uncomfortable? We get this is a lot! Don’t fret, we’ll crack jokes, move around and work in some little prompts that he’ll forget there’s even a camera in front of him. I capture the posed, the candids, and the in between moments. Plus having a few familiar items with him, he’ll feel even more comfortable. This is why we strongly suggest bringing something to the session. Even a pair of sunglasses will make your senior feel at ease.
